Not really a review blog but just my experiences on what goes on in my life and choose to do/use.

Bolthouse Farms PROTEIN PLUS™ MANGO
I love mangoes decided to try this. A lot of fruits and vegetable that are made from 100% juice, just something about them that i don't like. Either taste or texture. I thought this one sounded good because of the protein, something i tend to lack in my diet.
For some reason i'm always nervous to try new drinks lol. This one isn't bad, but i am turned off from the thickness of it. But it does say that it's a protein shake on the bottle, so that is probably why it's thicker. At least it was grainy like other ones i've tried.
I probably won't get this again. Partly because of not really liking the taste but also because i don't drink that much(way less than i should and even then it's mostly soda >.<).

Cauliflower Loaded Mash
So the picture isn't the best, but i forgot to take one before it was served.
I've seen a few times on Pinterest about making a mash with cauliflower instead of potatoes. it seemed simple enough to make, steam the cauliflower, then put in food processor to get the right texture. We don't have a processor so i used this like mini type one we have, it mostly did the job, but makes me wonder if a real one would be better. The texture was alright, not as smooth as mashed potatoes, but it didn't feel like you were pretty much just eating steamed cauliflower.
After getting the texture done, i did add some butter at first, wasn't bad just felt like it was missing something because it did taste just like steamed cauliflower. then i had the idea to just make it a loaded mash and added cheese, sour cream, and turkey bacon bits. Took a taste test and still felt like something was missing, added some salt and then was like magic because that bit of salt just finished off the whole thing and tasted really good.
We still have a purple cauliflower that i'm going to try and make this again but instead of a loaded mash, probably just a basic garlic mash. That will be fun just because it will be purple lol.

Tostitos Artisan recipes Roasted Garlic & Black Bean Chips
Normally i just buy the whole grain chips because i like the taste compared to plain ones. I decided to try this one after i saw it when wanting to buy chips. I got it at Safeway, but i'm sure it can be bought elsewhere.
I ended up using these for nachos, i did try a chip plain to see how it tasted on it's own. It's not over powering in flavor. Hint of garlic and pretty sure i was able to also taste the black bean, hard to tell though. I think i still like the whole grain one better. These were fine for the nachos, though there is a powder on it, possibly the garlic flavor, and so after eating the nachos a good bit, then my fingers got messy. Like when you eat Doritos.
Summary
Pros:
-Taste isn't over powering
Con:
-Messy if don't clean fingers after each chip
Will i buy again: Probably not.
Super Kids Resale
To start, i love consignment sales. You can find great things for great prices, same reason i like thrift stores. But it does sadden me a bit to say that i find this sale rather "eh". It's not horrible but it's not as good as others i have been to.
The sale seems to just be a rather local consignment sale as it's listed to only be in Longview WA, Vancouver WA, and Gresham OR. I live in Gresham, so i can go to that one. I've only been to the sale twice now, i don't think it's been in the gresham area for much more than that, maybe one other time? Anyways, the two times i've gone, it's been located in the same place, in Gresham Town Fair by the Petsmart. Like other consignment sales, for buying or selling, it's a great way to get great deals and help clear out own items.
I'll start off with the goods i've seen about this sale. Biggest perk for me with this sale, location. I go to another consignment sale and that one is farther than this one is. It's close enough that i could walk to it if i really wanted to go, but also it's still opened after my mom gets off work, so with it being close that we could get there with time to spare and browse. She's my transportation and money right now lol. The prices seem to be decent. Most we spent this sale was $7 on a bundle of 2 pants, $6 was the next on a shirt and pants outfit. One thing i liked about this last sale i just went to, they had a little bake sale stand(not sure who was actually running it) that the profits from that was going to the Sandy Hook Playground memorial funds.
Sadly....Those are the only real good things i see about the sale. I may just be spoiled by the other sale i go to, but this one just has sooo many things that make me not like the sale.
I said already that the prices seem decent...but a good bit of them seem way over priced. Someone wanted like $6.50 for a single pair of pants. I can't really say too much on the prices because i didn't pay close enough attention to it because i was put off by the quality of the items. I was horrified by the first time i went to the sale because things were just dirty and worn out and the people who run the sale told me they had quality control....didn't look like it to me. Things i remember from the first sale was outside toys(things to climb on) that looked straight out of the backyard and into the sale, no attempt in cleaning it up to make it look nicer. There was also a sleeper i saw that had a rather big hole on the bottom of the foot and i think they were asking $3 for it. And the shoes....Oh my god, the shoes. Me and my mom looked at a pair of boots and had no idea if it was dirt or dried poop on the bottom of it. almost none of the shoes looked like they should be sold. they were so worn out and dirty.
At this last sale, didn't look too close at too many things, finally actually did look at the clothes and found some things to get(picture below). But i am still not impressed. Most of the clothes had a lot of washer fading to them. there's no season control, so with us getting into the warmer weather, we had to dig through the fall and winter clothing that were hung with the spring and fall clothing. Most of what we got is going to be used as play clothing, so condition is fine for how they are, which isn't what i'd really want for normal wear, but she can get these dirty and i won't get annoyed about it lol. And the shoes....the shoes were just as bad again. dirty worn out shoes that should of just been thrown out, not even donated. You know how when you wear sandals after having dirty feet and it leaves the foot prints on the shoes? That's what a lot of the shoes had. Wish i took a quick picture just to show on here how horrible it was. I did see a pair i thought was cute, they were black converse with green highlights on it....i wanted them for my daughter until i noticed that the toe protection part was getting detached from the shoe.
A lot of people seem to love the sale, but i don't recommend it for people who care more about what their kids wear. I'll probably go to the next one again, one of those things of maybe it gets better with time or to find those random hidden gems. It's a decent sale for parents who are in need of clothes for their kids but don't have a lot of money to spend on new clothes. Or even toys and other kids related items.
Here's a picture of what i did manage to find and buy at the sale. No where near what i find and love at the other sale i go to, but these look to be good play clothes. we spent $35 on these 13 items. 2 outfits, 5 shirts, 2 skirts, and 4 pants. i think one of the pants has a small stain on it, but it's for play wear, so oh well.
To wrap up
Pros:
-Prices
-Location
Cons:
-Prices
-Quality of items
-No season control
Would i recommend this item to anyone: For people i know, no i wouldn't.
The sale is great for those who love it, but i'm not going to speak too highly of it to people i personally know. Mostly because of the quality of clothing they accept into the sale. Maybe if that was better, then i'd be happier with the sale...but the shoes....something needs to be changed on what gets accepted.
